Acceptable Use Policy

1. Use the Platform lawfully

This policy applies to Tours, profiles, reviews, messages and all use of Guides. Do not upload or distribute material that is unlawful, infringes copyright or other rights, breaches a binding confidentiality duty, or uses another person's identity, voice or likeness deceptively or without a required permission.

Do not publish fraudulent offers, phishing links, malware, doxxing, targeted harassment, unlawful discrimination, threats, content facilitating sexual exploitation, or material encouraging serious violence or dangerous criminal conduct. Educational, historical and artistic discussion must be presented responsibly and is not prohibited merely because its subject is difficult.

Pornographic content and sexual exploitation content are not permitted. Any lawful mature historical or artistic subject must have appropriate context and warnings; it must not be presented to evade safety controls.

2. Accurate experiences and safe routes

Do not fabricate qualifications, verification, historical evidence, endorsements, sales or reviews. Clearly distinguish fictional storytelling, reconstruction or disputed interpretation from material factual claims where that distinction affects a visitor's understanding. Do not instruct people to trespass, enter restricted locations, ignore closures or use a device dangerously.

AI-assisted content is subject to the same standards as other content. An AI output is not proof of accuracy, rights clearance or safe navigation. Do not clone a person's voice or likeness without the required permission or misrepresent a synthetic recording as an authentic historical recording.

3. Fair transactions and reviews

Do not manipulate payments, payouts, discounts, referral rewards, ratings or purchase counts. Do not create accounts to evade an active lawful restriction or impersonate a different legal seller. Do not demand positive reviews or threaten retaliatory action for a genuine negative review.

You may distribute your own rights-cleared content on competing platforms. This policy is not an exclusivity or price-parity clause. You must not misuse Guides customer data, conceal the seller, or divert an already accepted Guides order to avoid an agreed charge.

4. Technical restrictions

Do not bypass authentication or paid-access controls, unlawfully collect personal data, interfere with service availability, or access systems or data without authorisation. Automated access must comply with any applicable permission and reasonable published limits. Do not scrape third-party material for republication without the necessary rights.

Restrictions on reverse engineering and similar activity do not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including mandatory interoperability or other statutory exceptions. Report a suspected security flaw to hello@guides.app without exploiting it or exposing other people's information.

5. Publication commitments and legitimate withdrawal

Do not deliberately hollow out or conceal a Tour solely to evade an accepted publishing obligation. Legitimate editing, competing distribution, an urgent safety pause, an intellectual-property report, a legal complaint or a data-rights request is not itself abuse. The Creator and Publishing Terms define early withdrawal and account-closure procedures.

6. Reporting and enforcement

Report a specific concern to hello@guides.app, identifying the relevant URL or Tour and the reason. Do not attach illegal imagery; provide identifiers sufficient for a lawful investigation. We assess reports under the Content Moderation and Enforcement and Appeals Policies, taking context, severity, repetition, rights and safety into account.
